Finding the perfect pair of pants can often feel like a dream.

Line in the crotch area, then mark across the hem using a fabric marker.

Using the pin as your guide, mark a line across the width of the trousers.

Then, create a new line, 2 below the the line you just drew.

After this, cut out all the extra fabric below this line.

Next, draw another line, 2 above the original line you made.

Rolling up the bottom of the pants to determine the length you want

Fold the fabric up to that top line, then press the end of the hem.

After this, fold the fabric in half under itself, leaving you with a 1 hem.

Keep folding around the entire trouser leg, pinning the fabric as you go.

Double thread the needle then make a knot.

Start sewing, keeping your stitches an eighth of an inch from the top of the hem.

Go all the way around, keeping the stitches neat.

Make a knot once you reach the end, then repeat the process on the other side.

Once done, iron and press the hem flat to check that its sitting nicely and clean.
