It may look complex at first sight, but its actually so easy and perfect for beginners.
Now, select five print 5 squares and four background 5 squares.
With these, create your nine-patch block.

Sew them by rows, then sew those rows together to create the block.
Once completed, the nine-patch should measure 14, the same size as your large background square.
Repeat these steps until you have made enough for the quilt size youve selected.

Once done, lay your quilt top.
Start with a nine-patch then a background 14 square.
Alternate them until you finished laying out all the pieces.
After this, sew them in rows, then sew those rows together to finish the quilt top.
