Mix until fluffy for about 3 to 4 minutes.

Add eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.

Mix in half of the dry ingredients just until incorporated.
Next, add the milk, stop the mixer, and scrape the sides of the bowl down occasionally.
Mix in the other half of the dry mixture just until combined.
