For this recipe, youll only need potatoes, salt, black pepper, and corn flour.

Its easier to make than you might think.

How to Make McDonald’s Hash Brown

Place on a bowl of water.

Stir to remove the starch and make the potatoes crispier.

Step 2:

Place a fine strainer over a bowl, and strain the potatoes.

Step 3:

Place a pan over medium heat and add 2 tablespoons of cooking oil.

Add the chopped potatoes and season with 1 teaspoon of salt and black pepper to taste.

Cook until soft for about 5 to 10 minutes.

Make a taste test and adjust seasonings if needed.

It should be very tender.

Transfer into a bowl.

Step 4:

Add 5 tablespoons of cornstarch to the potatoes and mix well.

Gently mash the mixture a little bit until it forms into a dough.

Let it cool for a few minutes.

Shape it into an oval with your rough hands.

It should be around 0.6 to 0.8 inches tall.

Gently add the hashbrowns and deep fry for 6 to 7 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
