In a bowl, add the eggs, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract.
Step 3:
Add the vegetable oil and whisk on low speed until well combined.
Pour the milk and mix again.
Step 4:
Whisk in the coarsely chopped walnuts.
Step 5:
Fold in the flour using a rubber spatula until just combined.
Step 6:
Transfer the mixture into a 99 baking dish.
Sprinkle the reserved walnuts on top.
Step 7:
Place in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes.
Step 8:
While baking, make the syrup.
Place a saucepan over heat and add the water and sugar.
Let it boil for 15 to 17 minutes on medium heat.
Let it cool before serving.

Once cooled, slice and serve.
