It is so easy to make and comes together quickly.

Mix and place over medium heat.
Continue stirring until it is thick enough to coat the back of the spoon.
verify to keep stirring so the mixture wont burn or stick for about 20 minutes or more.
Step 3:
Remove from heat, then stir in the butter and vanilla.
Step 4:
In a 9 x 13 dish, start assembling the banana pudding.
Assemble in the following order ending with Nilla wafers on top: custard -wafers -bananas repeat.
Once done, cover with cling wrap and chill for 3 to 4 hours or overnight.
Step 5:
Top it with whipped cream and crushed Nilla wafers.
