Fill a pot with enough water to submerge all of the potatoes.
Add some salt and cook them for about 15 minutes on moderate until they become just soft.

Remove the potatoes from the pot and drain the water.
Cut the potatoes into circles.
Add some sliced butter to the bottom of the casserole dish and transfer the sliced potatoes.
Spread the potatoes in an even layer.
After that, add more butter on top.
Whisk until well combined.

Remove the dish from the oven and let it cool for a while.
