This Salisbury steak recipe is a staple in my home cooking.
Its perfect for a weekend dinner with the family or hosting dinner nights with friends.

Give everything a thorough mix.
Brown the patties on both sides for two to three minutes.
Once done, remove the patties and turn down the heat to medium.

Step 2
Add the diced onion and 1 lb of sliced mushrooms.
Cook it down and deglaze the pan with the released liquid for five to seven minutes.
Add 1 tsp of minced garlic and cook for another minute.
Next, add 3 tbsp of butter, let it melt, then add 4 tbsp of all-purpose flour.
Cook and stir for a minute or two until all the flour is absorbed.
After this, add three cups of beef broth a little at a time.
Add salt to taste, 1 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce, and a sprinkle of black pepper.
Stir it, then place the patties back.
Bring this to a low simmer, partially covering and cooking for 45 minutes.
(Baste the steak four times during the cooking process and turn them about halfway.)
