Next, measure 3 1/2 inches from that corner to the top.
Connect the marks into a line, then cut it out.
Youll have one triangle and one diamond-shaped fabric.
Step 2:
Get a 1-inch strip.
confirm the color of the strip contrasts with the 5 square.
Sew on the top of the diamond-shaped fabric with a quarter-of-an-inch seam allowance.
Once done, press it then trim off the excess from the strip.
Press it flat with an iron.
Your block should now measure 5.
Repeat to make 3 more blocks.
Step 4:
Assemble the four blocks into a four-patch.
The 1-inch strips should form a diamond in the center.
Sew them by 2s first, then sew the two rows together.
Press them flat with an iron.
Step 5:
You need 5 of these blocks across, then 5 down.
Sew them in rows first, then sew them together.
Add border and backing and you are done!
