You will get 16 squares from each strip and make a total of 320 pieces of 2 1/2 squares.
Step 2:
First, select 8 light matching squares and 8 matching dark squares.
On the back side of the light squares, draw a diagonal line from corner to corner.
Get one light square and place it on top of the dark square, right sides together.
Sew along the diagonal line.
Set the small cut triangles aside for a different project.
bring up the half-square triangle and press the seam allowance toward the dark print.
Repeat the process to make 8 pieces of half-square triangles.
Sew them into rows, sew the rows together, then finger-press the seam allowances in opposite directions.
Repeat to make a total of 5 blocks.
Sew one 10 1/2 piece of sashing between and on the ends of the 5 blocks.
Sew the remaining sashing strips together along short ends to make a long strip.
Sew strips onto the long edges of the runner and cut excess length.
Step 6:
Sew 31 pieces of 2 1/2 squares into a long border.
Sew onto one long side of the table runner.
Repeat for the other side.
Sew 9 pieces of 2 1/2 squares together then sew onto one of the short sides.
Repeat on the other side.
