It is easy to make, but you better be precise when cutting, folding, and sewing.

Use a ruler and marker, to draw a line on the crease at the back of each square.

Step 2:

Take one of the folded 1 1/2 squares and one 5 background square.

Place the triangle in one corner, and confirm all of the white is covered.

Open it and secure it in place with a pin.

Do the same on four corners with the same fabric.

Sew on the creased line.

Remember not to stitch toward the center of the block.

Step 4:

Measure the block if its still 5.

If not, trim it off.

Open it and secure it with pins.

Do the same with the remaining 3 pieces.

Sew on the line and press.

Remember not to stitch toward the center of the block.

Line up one of your quarter-inch marks on your ruler and cut the excess.

initiate the seam allowances and press.

Step 6:

Check the size of the block and trim if needed.

Place the folded 4 square in the corner beside the first one.

Sew, trim, and press the seams open.

Do the same with the other 3 units.

Step 8:

Assemble the blocks based on the picture.

Step 9:

Sew first in rows.

Pin them together and sew with a quarter of an inch seam allowance.

Press the seams open.

Step 10:

Sew the rows together with a quarter of an inch seam allowance.

Press the seams open.
