The only hard step is making the corner tips, but do not worry.
With the step-by-step instructions below, you’ve got the option to finish it with ease.
This studio star quilt is also called sisters choice and fathers choice.
It is a gorgeous block and definitely worth making.
Cut 1 piece of 2 1/2 square and 4 pieces of 4 1/2 strips.
Step 2:
Sew each of the remaining strips onto a 2 1/2 white strip.
Do not open yet.
Step 3:
From the remaining white strips, cut 2 1/2 squares.
You will need 8 of the 2 1/2 white squares for each block.
Step 4:
Stack the two units from step 2.
Cut 8 pieces of 2 1/2 units and press them open.
Step 5:
Take one 4 1/2 strips and one of the contrasting units.
Repeat 3 more times using the same fabric.
ensure they are all the same.
Place two on the corners of the units just like in the photo below.
Sew directly on the lines.
Trim excess and press open.
Step 7:
Arrange the pieces just like in the photo below.
Sew them in rows first.
Once done, sew the rows together to make the block.
