To make the block you will be using yardage and jelly rolls.
The steps are beginner-friendly you’re able to follow them easily without having any trouble.

Cut 4 pieces of 4 squares, 8 pieces of 2 1/2 squares from your background fabric.
Step 2:
Get the four pieces of 4 strips and four pieces of 6 strips.
Fold the 2 1/2 squares in half diagonally.
Place them on one end of each strip, right sides together, and sew directly on the line.
see to it all the shorts go one way and the longs go the other.
Sew photo below for reference.
Step 3:
Take the four pieces of background squares.
Place the 4 units on top of each square with the color beside the white.
Sew them together and press them open.
Repeat with the other blocks.
