Draw a diagonal line from corner to corner on each set.
After that, cut exactly on the line.
Step 2:
Get the strips and place them on top of each other.
Sew on the side with a quarter of an inch seam allowance.
Step 3:
Open them and press them with an iron.
Trim the half-square triangles into 4 1/2 squares.
Take the long strip and cut the end off, then cut 8 segments that are 2 1/2 wide.
Step 4:
Get two patches and sew them together to make a four-patch.
check that that the background squares are on opposite sides.
Repeat with the remaining segments.
Once done, press them open.
Step 5:
Arrange the blocks as shown below.
Sew them in rows first, then press each one open.
