Each beach ball does not go in the same direction, making the pattern more interesting!
This quilt project is not as hard as you think.
It starts with a 3-unit strip that is cut into squares.
After that, the blocks are snowballed twice in four corners.
Once the blocks and sashings are sewn, small blocks are formed between beach ball blocks.
Its easy to make, I promise!
Cut the unit strip into 6 1/2 squares.
Do this for all your strips.
Step 2:
Snowball the corner of your blocks.
From your background fabric, cut 2 1/2 white squares.
For each block, you need four white squares.
Get one block and four white squares.
Fold the white squares in half diagonally to make a crease.
Place them on each corner of the block.
Sew directly on the line from corner to corner.
Trim 1/4 away from the stitch line and press open.
Step 3:
Cut 1 1/2 squares from the complimentary fabric.
Fold them in half diagonally to make a crease.
Place a 1 1/2 square on each corner of the block.
Sew directly on the lines.
Trim 1/4 away from the stitch line and press open.
Step 4:
Cut 1 1/2 strips from your background fabric for the sashing.
For the cornerstones, you need 1/2 squares of complimentary fabric.
see to it the blocks go in different directions.
You will sew 10 rows with 8 blocks each.
