If you want to make this at home, watch the video below.
Jenny Doan explains the steps very clearly, so I am sure youll follow them easily.
Step 2:
Get a white 10 square and place it on top of one printed square.
Draw a diagonal line on opposite sides.
Sew a quarter of an inch on either side of the lines.
Once done, cut them in half twice, horizontally and vertically.
Next, cut them on the lines to make half-square triangles.
Once done, press them open.
Each block should measure 4 1/2.
Step 3:
Make the leaves.
Lay the block just as shown below, then sew each pair (top and bottom) together.
Out of your quarter of a yard of stem fabric, cut a 1 1/2 by 8 piece.
Place it in the center and sew.
Press the seam allowance of the stem inside.
Trim it to a 4 1/2 square.
Get the 2 1/2 background strip and cut it into 2 1/2 squares.
You need a total of 112 pieces of 2 1/2 background squares.
Fold the background squares in half diagonally.
Lay the printed square into a four-patch.
Sew the 2 1/2 squares on the printed squares.
Trim off the excess corners.
Press them open, then sew them as a four-patch.
You want the middle seam to match up with your stem.
Step 7:
You need 4 tulips in each column and 7 in each row.
For the sashing, use 2 1/2 strips.
Every other row starts with a sash.
Add a 2 1/2 inner border, then a 5 1/2 border.
