Fresh cranberries are available in local grocery stores until mid-December, but some grocery stores carry frozen cranberries year-round.
Cook until the cranberries burst and the sauce becomes thick.
Turn off the heat, then let it cool completely.

Transfer the cranberry mixture to the creamed butter, then whisk until well combined.
Add a pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg.
