Next, cut two 2 1/2 x 18 1/2 strips and two 2 1/2 squares from the fat eighth.

(These fabric pieces will be used for the top and bottom borders.)

After this, cut 2 1/4 x 7 strips for the binding.

Now, prepare the block components.

Separate 18 strips into groups of three 4 1/2 x 18 strips and 2 1/2 x 18 strips.

Then, cross-cut each strip set into two 7 1/2 segments and one 2 1/2 segment.

Once done, start sewing the strips.

Sew a 2 1/2 x 16 /2 strip between two different 7 1/2 strip segments, then press.

Step 2

Next, assemble the quilt center.

Arrange the blocks, rotating and rearranging them as needed.

(Refer to the free pattern for the diagram.)

After this, join the blocks to form rows, then join rows to form the quilt center.

Now, add the borders.

Finally, quilt and bind the quilt.
